Art has been my escape for years, something I look forward to every day. Lately, I’ve been creating more than ever, trying to bring some beauty into this troublesome time we’re living in. Here’s one of my latest baroque-inspired pieces, dark yet still beautiful. 🫀

It’s a strange time to be sharing art when the world feels like it’s falling apart, but I think we still need moments of beauty and imagination. Please keep sharing art ☺️

Here’s my new mini anatomical heart! I wanted to refine & add more details, so I re-sculpted it and I love how it turned out. 🫀

It was about time I added a skull to my mini collection! Had so much fun sculpting this little guy, definitely a bit fiddly, but totally worth it. I will adding him to my online shop at the end of the month along with other new pieces.

When the 4 Non Blondes said “And so I wake in the morning and I step outside, and I take a deep breath and I get real high
and I scream from the top of my lungs WHAT’S GOIN ON?!”

I really felt that.

After over a decade, I’m back to oils! I’ve started an oil painting course to revisit the fundamentals and tackle new challenges. Today’s focus? The Zorn palette: just white, black, yellow ochre, and cadmium red.

Anyone else learning a new or refreshing an old skill this year?

It was so refreshing to get back to sculpting this week. I’ve missed the slow, creative time where I can just focus on the clay & enjoy the process. I also challenged myself to sculpt my smallest anatomical heart yet (left) which was a bit of a faff but still a lot of fun.

Well, I finally made it to Bluesky! Not sure if this is my scene, but I’m here to give it a shot ☺️
