This is so much bullshit and grandstanding meant to scare those who provide transgender care to minors. Nobody is performing “female genital mutilation” on children. Hormone blockers are approved for gender dysphoria. Medicare fraud is already a crime (and not relevant to this discussion).
AG Pam Bondi issues a memo seeking to further curtail access to transgender health care for minors.

Bondi adds the Justice Department will use a variety of existing U.S. laws to investigate providers of such care, as well as drug manufacturers and distributors.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said existing U.S. laws against female genital mutilation prohibit doctors from providing certain care to transgender youths.

So maybe there’s like just a little good news here? Not for us, but maybe others?

How does one apply to be a baby tapir scratcher?
Zookeepers are fostering positive interactions with baby Ume by gently giving her scratches and associating specific body parts with verbal cues. This training helps the endangered tapir become comfortable with human touch, ensuring stress-free care in the future.

There’s nothing quite like the slightly sweet, slightly menacing voice of a 2 year old telling you “kiss it” regarding some slight perceived or real injury.

Absolute rest sounds a touch fatalistic, no? I want my doctor to prescribe rest, but absolute rest? No thanks, I choose life.

She needed her diaper changed. 💩💩💩

Exciting news! We’re thrilled to announce that tapir Yuna gave birth to a rare and endangered Malayan tapir calf Sunday night. The newborn, covered in distinctive white spots and stripes resembling a fuzzy walking watermelon, is only the second tapir born in our 120-year history.

We worked for months with USAID to build an $85,000,000 project to end TB in two regions of the Philippines.

The project is funded by private money, the Philippine government, and matching USAID funds.

It could provide a blueprint for eliminating TB worldwide--except it's...not happening.
