Yeah, trying to capitalize on it... that's well put and describes why I'm always so on edge with wrestling fans. They're quick on the trigger to shame you for liking WWE, even when you're expressing you're intention to stop.
August 4, 2025 at 4:38 AM
I just want wrestling fans to chill the fuck out and not take shit so personally. I mention that AEW fans have rubbed the wrong way and people freak the fuck out. Just let a guy a rant.
August 4, 2025 at 4:30 AM
GTFO dude. Maybe you should take introspection on why you have to run defense for the "AEW Fans" just because I expressed my bad experiences dealing with them?

I'm sorry my rant has effected you personally so badly that you have to dedicate so much time arguing about my lived experience.
August 4, 2025 at 4:26 AM
I didn't blame anyone here... It didn't happen on Bluesky... It's not an extrodinary claim... and I don't have to prove it to you...

You can take my word for it or not. I honestly don't care. I'm allowed to have an opinion and express my personal experience.
August 4, 2025 at 4:12 AM
Well I don't disagree with that.
August 4, 2025 at 4:08 AM
Yeah, I know... Thanks. Don't get me started on the IWC fandom... serious please don't.
August 4, 2025 at 4:05 AM
I'm totally down with dunking on WWE! They've been shit for the majority of their existence! Dunk on WWE all you want!

I personally don't want to be attacked by AEW Stans with their stupid Moxley avatars because I liked John Cena vs Cody at WM41.

That's not an unreasonable ask.

This small interaction has been therapeutic. It can feel like you're going crazy because your worst thoughts are being confirmed on a platform that you hoped would be better.

Thank you again. I'll at the very least follow your posts.
August 4, 2025 at 3:53 AM
Thanks I appreciate this post, but I'll pass, as evidence by the discussion thread of people who just "can't make sense" as to why experience with AEW fans has been bad.
August 4, 2025 at 3:47 AM
It doesn't have to make sense. I watch this stuff to be emotionally fullfilled and part of that is whether or not it's fun to share the experience with others and my experience sharing my pro-wrestling fandom with AEW fans has been hostile and negative. I don't have to justify my lived experienced.
August 4, 2025 at 3:45 AM
Come on dude... I live in spaces beyond Bsky. I left Twitter in part of insufferable wrestling discourse, but I still discuss wrestling in other places, mostly YouTube and some Discords.

BTW, not one person so far has said... "hey sorry your experience with AEW fans was bad."
August 4, 2025 at 3:35 AM
This is a totally unrealistic view of consuming any media and you know it. Fan engagement and relationships are core to any media consumption, especially pro-wrestling. The ability to discuss something without being called a dick for liking something someone else doesn't is no unreasonable.
August 4, 2025 at 3:28 AM
Toxicity in toxicity out. I'm not proud of it, but it's true. Sorry I don't like being called a WWE shill when I mention that I liked a WWE match one time.
August 4, 2025 at 3:26 AM
All I wanted to do is like pro-wrestling my own way, which had a steady diet of discussing WWE content and I'm bombarded by self-righteous assholes (mostly AEW fans) who say I'm liking wrestling wrong, and my opinions are shit.
August 4, 2025 at 3:24 AM
What's weird is replying to an opinion on an open discussion "What a weird thing to say" without any actual engagement to the discussion. But it's no surprise to see ANOTHER AEW fan be a total fucking dick.
August 4, 2025 at 3:19 AM
I mean look at this? You're basically proving my point. That's ok though, I won't be around to ruin your show. Your guys circlejerk is safe frome me.
August 4, 2025 at 3:16 AM
Thanks for mansplaining different wrestling my my argument "you can't buy". Nothing more satisfying than some self-righteous wrestling fan telling me to suck it up and watch someone else. I'll just quit for now thanks.
August 4, 2025 at 3:14 AM
I'm more worried that they'll bring in the Tate Brothers as "celebrity guests" now more than ever. Brining back Brock was such a disgrace that anything disgraceful is possible.
August 4, 2025 at 2:49 AM
Alternatives like AEW is not an option because I can't stand the fanbase. They have alienated me just for discussing WWE.

AEW fans actively hate people who watch WWE, then they act surprised when they struggle to convert people over.

Fans ruin have AEW more than any bad booking could.

WWE aren’t angels, they still have Prichard on pay roll and they let Logan Paul have a job.

But you’re being purposely obtuse if you think that the business and product decisions both on screen and off screen haven’t significantly improved since the regime change.
February 19, 2025 at 3:56 AM
It’s not about copyright, it’s about Trademark. And I’m sure WWE prefers to own the Ricky Saints Trademark over renting Ricky Starks Trademark. But Giulia, Jordynne, Stephanie, Ethan, etc etc are all wrestlers who kept there name. I think it safe to say that WWE post Vince cares more than Vince.
February 19, 2025 at 3:21 AM
A lot of the truly bad naming decisions were during the Vince era.

Clearly the HHH era is way more thoughtful about ring names. Most new wrestlers who have established names are getting to keep them.

Ricky Starks is just unlucky that Zoey Starks was there first.
February 19, 2025 at 3:06 AM
Most wrestlers coming into the company in the HHH era have kept their name. Ricky would have kept Starks if there wasn’t a Zoey Starks already. Sucks but fair is fair and Zoey Starks was there first.
