During an artist residency there in 2019 I took a photo of the sign marking the footpath to the beach.
It reminded me of Area X…

Manorbier is a small village on the far West coast of Wales where Woolf spent formative summer holidays, staying in this house that overlooks the headland.

Got a few strange looks tonight standing in the stormy street, waving my phone around in the rain… Was busy with some final testing of our AR animations before they get installed on a sculpture trail next week 🤣

Popped into Manchester Art Gallery & found ‘An Island’.
Painted by #LSLowry in 1942, when the city was still reeling from Luftwaffe bombing raids, and during a period of acute despair for the artist.
He wrote “An Island is an old
house, long uninhabited, falling further and
further into decay…”

At #LaurieAnderson last night in Manchester for Ark: United States V.
I laughed, I cried, I shivered & I screamed.
Amazing work, go & see it if you can.

I’m revisiting some of the work I made during the Pembrokeshire/ Wexford Ancient Connections project & hoping to screen it during Cardigan’s upcoming Festival of Light.
Was very lucky to be the resident artist on Dyfed Archaeological Trust’s excavation of St Patrick’s Chapel in Whitesands.

Dave McKean came all the way from Kent to give a fabulous talk at our local theatre in West Wales (we were screening his film ‘Luna’)
He stayed past ‘last orders’, signing books & drawing pictures for local art students who’d arranged a minibus - such generosity :-)

“O white is the frost on the breath-bleared panes
And the starlike fire within,

And our Man is white in her starry reins
Starved through flesh and skin
It is a skull we carry
In the ribbons of a bride.

Bones of the Nightfrost parry
Bones of the Fire inside. “
