Even cheaper, usbc headphones, that'll work for all the brands, and they'll look cooler listening to headphones than being a dork with speakersphone

I find Bluetooth headphones annoying since I'll forget to charge them or whatever. Also the sound quality is terrible for the price compared to wired headphones.

If their phone is usbc, they can use wired usbc headphones without a dongle now!

I used to think that, but now that almost all phones are USBC, and there's cheap USBC earbuds now. Wish phone manufacturers would include them still, but for $20 you can get earbuds that sound as good as $200 Bluetooth buds

Now that most phones are USBC, the loss of a headphone jack doesn't matter. There's cheap USBC headphones and earbuds now

Good! The Rivian and the Ford f-150 lightning are much better trucks. Not some lifestyle accessory.

I'll add Bakery Pompette on College to a croissant tasting tour since it's not super far from Queen W, you can kind of detour through Trinity Bellwoods. (And stop by Nadege)

Yes, step one of a declining company is changing the logo.

Canada and Mexico already embrace football and especially during World Cup time. People in Toronto have all sorts of flags on their cars for who they support. It's a fun energy in the city

A lighter EV is so much easier to control and handle. It means drivers can stop faster, by extension, the smaller lighter car is less likely to have a 5ft tall hood, it would encourage smaller cars with knee-high fronts for example.

Problem is heavier cars need higher performance tires to make use of those brakes.

Out of the factory, many of these EVs come with high-performance tires with compounds and tread patterns to handle the load force. Most people will replace them with the cheapest tires which is deadly.

Yes, hood height is getting to comical heights now, and it plays a role in deaths/injury. We banned pop-up headlights but are ok with 5ft tall hoods.

However weight still plays a role in vehicle speed. Even with braking advances, a heavier car will take longer to brake. More impact.

EV technology is becoming better and lighter. A Renault 5 or Fiat Grande Panda are excellent for most people. They will cause less wear and tear on the road. Use less resources.

Less mass means less of a harsh impact on pedestrians. A heavier electric or gas SUV will cause more pedestrian injuries

Zero emission vehicles also cause wear and tear on the road too. Them being heavier causes more strain, and also can be a safety issue for pedestrians.

I think New Zealand's idea makes sense.

I'm pretty annoyed they dropped it. So many of these US companies are able to manipulate public opinion for free.

They should have kept it for a little bit or harmonized it with Europe.

They only work when coupled with a speed cam, it's always the case in Toronto there's a speed readout before the cam warning.

The ones that don't have a speed camera basically shows what the speedo says anyway (people doing 10 over), and I remember kids used to use them to get "High Scores" lol

Near a school? Good. Maybe don't speed.

I like my car to last long and I'd rather have a stupid speed camera than damaging and annoying speedbumps.

Better for low sportscars.
June 26, 2025 at 12:44 PM
Lol no one cares about the speed-readout radars including both of us.

Toronto has very clear signage for speed camera zones. If you can't see them, I am not confident in sharing the road with a bad driver. My insurance is expensive because of inattentive drivers.

Canada is Not for Sale, but apparently Ontario is.

Both Bathurst and St Clair could move so much smoother if they removed street parking.

I think Bathurst is wide enough for two north and two south with bus lanes on most parts. Narrower car lanes, because some parts are streetcar + two lanes already.
