Whilst doing the #treehouse flooring I need to also think about the spiral staircase - considering same engineered oak for the riser and tread chamfered at 45 degrees, then a solid oak strip glued at the intersection to take the brunt of footsteps.

Nets spliced on to hand rail rope (45 eye splices) today in the sunshine

Today’s task was to fit the rope net sides and hand rails to the walkway at 4m above the woodland floor

150m of underfloor heating laid last week, my knees have not recovered yet

The posts, cladding and decking are all sweet chestnut, mostly sourced from a forest 30 miles away. Roof is a mix of chestnut and oak shingles
