The Veo bikes are great for Bend but we should really take a couple of car parking spots for them — dumping them in the racks like this when they don’t need to be locked is just punishing anyone who wants to bike downtown to patronize the shops. @melaniekebler.bsky.social @amendez.bsky.social

We took the gondola up to Aiguille du Midi (Mont Blanc). Did not get to take the panoramic car to Italy -- they closed the return trip due to inclement weather.

We took the cog train + gondola today to see Mer de Glace today. Very impressive but very depressing to see just how much the glacier has retreated.

Jet-lagged afternoon exploration of the Kensington neighborhood where we're staying. We bought a bottle of wine and discovered our room had no corkscrew. For "safety purposes" they sent someone up from the bar to open it for us.
