I'm concerned. We on the left (whether center left, liberals, or further left, eco-social justice adherents) simply don't have the kind of numerical advantage that allows for significant disunity. I think we can all agree that virtually every Maga plank is an a front to both decency and sanity.

Exactly! The anti intellectual authoritarianism of the religious right was a huge cause of the current dilemma. Oh, and "barely" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in the phrase "barely sentient". Great post.

"No one I talked to understood the devastation this administration would bring to our lives." No, she just wanted to see the devastation rain down on the lives of the people she doesn't like or understand. I'm a bit alarmed at how little I feel for her.
