Has there an explanation regarding the length of contracts some of the new signings have been given? Alcaraz 2yrs (with an option?), Barry 4yrs, and Dibling 4yrs all seem to be ‘against the trend’ of much longer contracts handed out by other clubs?

Thats fair - I can understand him waiting to see how Everton’s new owners/manager plays out (barely 6 months we were a basket case)

Totally agree - ideally, we’d be offering him a new/revised contract befitting of us turning down significant offers. It might’ve already been offered behind closed doors, but he deserves parity with our top earners
