I need to work on my identity and perception beyond being the clown of social groups. Dumbassed a bit too much even for my taste and that led to mixed results.
Need to reconnect with myself and folks in the coming year or so.

I'm still gonna be focusing on my health and not being a dumbass with weed or booze, it's not an excuse to redirect, but also I cannot afford the price for entry to powerlift, and any of the ramifications of mistakes, with how it currently goes for me.

If Larian is caught using AI in its final product, it'll be an "I told you so" from anyone against em now, if they don't it'll be a "least damage done" defense from those who bought it.

Does this excuse AI usage and its environmental, economic, and survivability impacts? No. Do I condone or defend its use? Never. Do I recognize that I am not a profit-first mindset and am likely the outlier as a result of this? Yes. I can see what may have led to them using it, but it still sux. 8/9

Nearly TEN TIMES the traffic for their tie-in game for Hasbro's Wizards of the Coast's Dungeons and Dragons. And, keep in mind, these are the OF-ALL-TIME metrics, so post studio boom, post renaissance from BG3, AND just on Steam alone. They likely feel incentivized to strike while relevant. 7/8

Larian, being the dev and publisher on a Divinity III, is nicer because it means they have more time to set their stakes and what they want, but also- the dirtiest word when it comes to game dev may be involved too: Stakeholders. For example: Look at the overall stats for Divinity II vs BG III 6/8

Divinity II was a rarely referred to game when it first dropped from what I recall, mind you this was circa mid-2010's. It wasn't until Larian had WOTC money and the wind at its back that people even gave Divinity II the time-of-day online outside of its niche. 5/8

It goes without saying there is a tale as old as time with studios shutting down and having to disregard progress made on a game unless you have a flash-in-the-pan happenstance like MOBA Darling, Motiga's "Gigantic" which is being considered Abandonware not once, but TWICE now. 4/8

One of the biggest measured leaps is in the now infamous "Will Smith Eats Spaghetti" video comparison. That amount of time alone to go from slop-consuming horror, to refined slop-consuming horror is still arguably a massive amount of progress. Again, fuck AI into the dirt and all who back it. 3/8

VIOLENT necessity for cost-cutting, efficiency-centric methodology to game development. And unfortunately, what the fuck has seen more spearheading, bull-headed progress than AI? I hate with every bone in my body to admit it, but AI has made noticeable, feasible progress in the past few years. 2/8
