Most discussions of how to end the Russian invasion of Ukraine talk about “land swaps.” Unless Russia is willing to exchange land it controlled prior to its seizure of Crimea and the Dombas (I think in 2014), no “exchange” can take place. Land “swaps” can only mean Ukraine ceding land to Russia.
