I agree but think their ultimate point and goal is to make people afraid to go out in their communities during election time, they realize their hold on power is under threat.

I realized this when he was charged with crimes but did not suffer any lasting consequences. The consequence of coming for “the king” and missing is an aura of invincibility and power that evil and incapable people covet, worth its weight in gold, or votes.

Yes I sadly agree that it appears to me neither side really has ever wanted to solve it, because neither side has had to. That’s the way of many things in life now, at least in politics. Americans act on incentives. What is the incentive on each side that will break the dam and force a merge?

Yes but it kicked the can down the road in terms of actually changing the narrative on how immigrants are viewed by many Americans. It made many of then them feel it wasn’t earned, just like now. It would have been better to offer tangible criteria instead of amnesty, then and now.
