Hanging out in state capitols for GIFFORDS. Mets fan. Once described as "exhausted, but happy" by Wired.
Every single legislator I work with gets death threats - it’s now just another part of the job. Most choose this life bc they want to make their communities better. They have families and friends and hobbies. They are not your enemy. The violent political rhetoric has to stop.

Over the last few days, the Trump Administration allowed the sale of devices that turn semiautomatic rifles into machine guns and the House passed language that opens up silencers to be bought by anyone.

Over 15 years of working in state legislatures across the country, I've never seen a session this bad. The autopsy of what happened this lame duck will not be kind to Dems (except you Senate, you're great)

The vibe shift from Moynihan/Amtrak to Penn Station/NJ Transit is so stark it’s almost hilarious. It’s like magically stepping into 1987 where everything is somehow just a little dirty.

Finally saw Wicked. First of all? So much fun. Secondly, I am shocked, pleased, and amazed that a very gay movie featured a surprise nod to the musical and that surprise wasn’t ruined for me already. Either I’m not following enough gays or everyone behaved.

So I finished Agatha All Along and this was nearly perfect?

I just don’t know how you have an episode where the cast does their best Fleetwood Mac impression and you’ve got Patti LuPone on backup vocals
