Nostalgia-laden oppression-critical posters. AI still can’t spell in its images. Great again = back to gilded robber barons, women haters, lots of pollution & mean, incompetent boss brat bros. 👉 But there is ALWAYS great and powerful music 🕊️ a stronger kind of truth.

19yo me playing Prokofiev. It’s Sonata 9. I call it the Stalin sonata. There is an emptiness in it, a kind of wincing resignation or gout or something chemical. He died same day as Stalin. I saw myself as a communist living in the 1920s, not then. A kind of “anywhere but here” 80s mentality.
