too optimistic. if current trends continue, why would anyone look back on this era and see folly? i'm reminded of the matt christman post, "this is the stupidest day in American history, a record that will be broken by every subsequent day in American history."
I feel confident in predicting history will judge this decade or so as the absolutely stupidest time in American history.
Honestly our kids and grandkids will read about this time and be shocked that adults existed.
