This morning I am working on video #2 ideas and script, plus watching videos on Davinci Resolve, to learn that powerful tool better. It is FRIDAY! We made it. Any exciting plans for the weekend?

Just found out I'll probably have to fly to Orlando sooner than expected. The tech that was hired - uh - didn't work out. I was supposed to fly out Oct 14, but I have a feeling that will be sped up. 3rd time to Orlando this year.
On the upside, I made an offering to Freyr for the Equinox.

Wow, I had no idea DaVinci Resolve was so robust. And for what I'll be using it for - it's FREE. I finally got it installed and tomorrow I'll get to editing my video. I'm excited and nervous

My tripod/selfie stick thingy arrived. It fits my phone, the remote is paired, and I don't have to constantly get up to adjust my phone when recording. I'm looking forward to giving it a real test drive tomorrow. My first real filming equipment purchased!

I'll have a bit extra money in September. Looking to pick up a tripod to help with filming, some lights, and a microphone. I can't justify a camera, yet. My goal is to practice making videos and hopefully make a little scratch to buy a camera.

I guess I'm starting to think of this as a business.

I'm brainstorming ideas for my upcoming youtube channel. It's going to be TTRPG, miniatures, GM advice, and whatever the hell else I want to talk about.

I've got 32 of 52 ideas down. Anyone have any suggestions for episodes?

I did a test recording, and I'm waiting to edit it. There are a few things I need to fix, like camera placement, but I am getting more comfortable with speaking in front of the camera. I'm enjoying this so far. We'll see how I feel after I upload the 1st time.

When I'm working on a novel, I'm a big planner. I outline, rearrange set-pieces, really figure out what's going on, usually from the ending back. When I'm working on short-stories, I let my inner pantser loose and just see where the story goes. It is liberating and a lot of fun.

First pass of this short story is done. Cleaned up a few things, changed a handful of details, but I'm pleased with how it came out. It clocks in at about 2800 words. I'm going to sleep on it again, go through one more pass, and then if anyone is interested, I can share it.

I wrote about 1200 words in this short story. I was getting towards the end, and then it was time to feed the dogasauruses.

I'm going to sleep on it, and hopefully knock the 1st draft out tomorrow.
