I don’t think anyone would argue that colonization included genocide. What I’m saying is that you can dilute it if you use in other situations.

Words have definitions. If the word is used outside its’ definition, then yeah, the meaning is diluted. If we’re honest, we’ll use “genocide” where it’s really happening. English is a much larger language than some people give it credit for. Just be honest.
