I find myself rarely using the *go-to-line* feature in VS Code (fork), but I use the Jumpy extension constantly. Love being able to move around the editor without leaving the keyboard or learning vim. 😅

Final update: simulator team jumped to #2 after the sweet sixteen, and stayed in second place for the remainder of the tournament.

Other fun fact: it was a total coincidence that we had 9 different champions picked by 10 players. And, somehow, no one was correct.

One of the inevitable effects of experiencing a lull in writing is it takes me away from my website. And websites need constant care to be presented in the best light.

Now that I'm easing back into writing personal posts, I'm starting to make small updates, beginning by introducing Bluesky links!

👀 Learned a new trick from @philippeserhal.com that I probably should have known for years. $0 is an alias for the currently selected element in Chrome. 🤯

Update: The bracket that used the simulator is currently in third place in the family pool.

My partner once won our family March Madness pool by choosing *which mascot is cuter as a baby*.

IOW knowledge of the game, the league, or provided "analysis" may not really help.

What might help is this little simulator I spun up that makes weighted, random guesses and gives you the results.

Here's the little Super Bowl Squares app I put together this week. Built with @astro.build, @supabase.com, and @netlify.com.

I'm going to try this out today. You can, too — the README has setup instructions. Just a few quick steps to set up your database and deploy.

Cooking up a fun little app for the weekend! 🏈 💵 🦅

I'll put together a little video and some links in case you want to take it for a spin.

And then going to write up a piece or two on my experience getting Bolt, Cursor, and my insecurities to play nicely together.

Not really a year-in-review, but took a quick look at the most used Slack emojis at work, and it definitely paints a 2024 picture. 😅

A very productive NY resolution would be to think outside the box and get a bit more creative with my emoji in 2025. Priority: High.

I disabled showing who's typing in Slack about a week ago and it's been a game-changer! 💥

Previously, I'd see someone typing, and my inclination would be to stick around and stay engaged. Now I'm way less distracted and get through messages so much faster. Highly recommend trying it.

Feeling fulfilled as I pack my bags to leave Toronto. The #VueConfToronto2024 organizers are top-notch. Absolutely superb event! 🎉 🇨🇦 🎉

Take this attention to detail as an example: they had printed cards ready to go, so when I needed notes on stage, the community brand with me.

The magic behind the scenes as we kick off #VueConf Day 2 in Toronto.

Absolutely loving the venue for #VueConf this year. We're underway with the keynote from @evanyou.me!

It's totally mind-boggling how many great tools were born from the @vuejs.org journey, which goes all the way back to 2013.

Super pumped to be hosting #VueConfToronto2024 next week!! It's two 2️⃣ jam-packed days of great talks from folks around the thriving @vuejs.org community!

🎟️ If you can't make it to the event IRL, do the beep boop thing and grab a virtual ticket. vuetoronto.com

Reminds me of this. 🤣🤣🤣

Things so surreal to me as I depart @githubuniverse:
- meeting people IRL that I’ve chatted with for years online
- Making new friends as an elder millennial
- getting immediately by ex-netlifolks who want us to succeed
- navigating confusing SF bathroom signage

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this discussion in AI + Web at Universe. But @biilmann.bsky.social did a great job facilitating. Got us in close groups and led to a series of super productive conversations.
