Time to draw it poorly

I will say the independent electoral commission and our voting system is really great. Their processes should be held up as an example of how an election could be run. Though again, any election relies on enough trust in government to be effective, and here that is slowly but surely eroding.

We also have an issue where most media is aligned behind multiple parties on one side of politics and encouraging US-style language. That didn't fly, but it mean the other side is generally very risk averse with policy despite having the overwhelming balance of power.

Writing from an Aus perspective: our "washminster" parliamentary system (Parliament plus Senate) had a tumultuous time ~10-15 years ago where we basically had a new prime minister every year with constant backstabbing within parties.

Interestingly over the same time period historic soccer fans have been bemoaning the increasing corporatism and sportswashing through it
