Finally made it to @microbiologysociety.org Annual Meeting in Ireland 🇮🇪 #MicrobioIrish25 for 2 days of brilliant research & community. Loved seeing the breadth of microbiology across health, agriculture & genomics, reconnecting with old colleagues, and soaking up the views over Hodson Bay.

Wrapping up a lovely few days in Jena for the JSMC & ILRS alumni meeting at @leibniz-hki.de, seeing all the old haunts and catching up with so many wonderful people. I’m in awe of science in Jena, going from strength to strength and leveraging all the talent & infrastructure there.

PhD position available in University of Exeter across Biosciences and the MRC Centre for Medical Mycology. The project will use chromatin genetics to investigate how pathogenic fungi adapt to their human host.

Improving activity of an anti-staphylococcus compound in
ACS Infectious Diseases led by Laabei & Serpi labs. The 1st work I've been involved with from funding to manuscript.
