He's well educated, accomplished, competent, and elite with an aura of noble class but without being pompous or pretentious. At the same time, he's humble and a down to earth kind of guy you can have a beer with. People like him don't show up on a global stage too often. What's not to like?

PP can only thrive when there's a wide gap in the centre forcing voters to pick a side even if they have to hold their nose. If Carney delivers on his promises and brings Canadians from left and right together, PP and his far right following will simply fizzle out. Extreme breeds extreme.

This is the foundational leadership attitude that Canadians demand and appreciate in a Prime Minister. It started with "we take note, not direction" early in the campaign it and continues strong with similar and reaffirming remarks we're all here for.

How about this headline: Carney offers a hopeful and strong future for Canada and the Canadian economy with calm, class and dignity of a statesman while the other leaders muddled their way around with sloganeering, obstructionism and interrptions.

I know we currently have our differences, but that's harsh!

Let's fix that headline: Mark Carney rises above the schoolboy persona of the other so-called leaders' mediocrity and pettiness while displaying what a mature, highly qualified intelligent statesman looks like.
