This morning, thinking about the time B and I spent a sleepy Sunday binging a mountain of pre-code James Cagney films; the stand-out was Mayor of Hell (1933), lumpy but lively insurrectionary fever dream; Spartacus at a boys' school with a romance + gangster plot stapled onto it.
