I met #JohnnieWalker at a couple of the Pirate BBC Essex broadcasts from the LV18 in #Harwich harbour, the last time in August 2017… A really nice guy, legendary broadcaster and one of my radio heroes…. God bless Johnnie…. 😢 #RIPJohnnieWalker

Just listening back to the official top 40 from December 17th, 35 years ago (just before Radio 1’s second big FM switch-on day), and who should be number 6, but Andy Stewart’s ‘Donald Where’s Your Troosers?’. (Made famous again by @simonmayo.bsky.social )…. 😉👍
