What a difference 24 hours & 1 year make! Yesterday my dad was intubated in ICU & I wasn't sure he'd survive -> Tonight he's awake, off the vent, we got to talk & I held his hand. Last year I was sick w/Covid, isolated in the basement & devastated by the election. Tonight there's #hope. #bluewave 🌊

Kiddo came home last week with a quilt panel from teacher who would like a lap quilt. It had rusty holes from tacks, needed some fixing but managed to get it done in a week. Prewashed it as it's going to the classroom. Now back to my own projects & procrastinating hemming her school pants.

Finished the Bow Tie baby quilt this afternoon. 2 days to piece, 2 days to quilt, 2 days to finish binding with 2 weeks in the middle ripping out 2/3rds of the quilting with a seam ripper when it all bunched up on the longarm. Glad to be done.

This is Ernie. He's 15 and feeling every bit of it. We got a scary call from the vet on Friday, but he is still with us. Mostly he enjoys sleeping with low oxygen content. Today he has occluded both nostrils. #dogsofbluesky @darthbluesky.bsky.social
