In May I started on a sound and #music piece about the rise of #hate in the US, Germany, and around the world, and the modern echoes of the #Holocaust. A collab with sound artist Anders Vinjar, the piece includes a 3D soundscape he recorded at Auschwitz. Releases this Saturday.

Caught first half hour of Jesse Welles playing in Toronto last night, though had to leave after the rest of the band took the stage due to a family medical emergency (everyone is ok now <3). Awesome to witness sheer talent, work ethic, timing, and lady luck all coalesce at the same moment!

In Canada today's "no kings" protests are branded as "no tyrants" for this very reason :)

Will say this - the anti-immigrant groups / far-right extremists know how to game social media algorithms. The top comments under this YouTube video are all anti-immigrant messages, many variants of "anti-immigrant isn't racism". This doesn't square with what I witnessed today.

Great counter protest programming today at Christie Pits Park in #toronto. A so called "Canada First" rally 🤮 of far-right bigots was met with love, music, dancing, ice cream, samosas, face painting, and magic. Thanks to everyone who came out to support our community, our park and our country. ☮️

Thanks for the note! Used YouTube Music links, of 6 tracks 2 were designated AI + 1 inconclusive. One track has a vocaloid that uses AI to adjust vocal inflections, so think this is why it was designated AI? The other track I have no idea - old school choir library, common synths, lofi processing.

Have also been noticing more US brands sneakily including maple leaves and calls to CA patriotism on packaging, even when the items are entirely US. Just 1 example from today's shopping trip (p.s. got a non-US alternative!)
