You can beat it in an hour or two, and the worst of the platforming comes with the collectibles. It's very cool how there are unique ways to unlock characters, and the levels are different depending on who you play. There's just so much to like about it despite the issues.

I have the UK version, which seems to be going up in price now. It's one of those games that just bleeds cool. The menus, the music, the character designs... the absurd names, but it suffers from some very PS1 gameplay, and not in a good way. The platforming can be nightmarish.

Monster Hunter Wilds is both the best thing I played all year AND a disappointment. I have many issues with the game, as do many, but I cannot deny about 60 of the 280 hrs I spent with it being kinda magical.
