Corporate greed using half-generations and mobile pricing structures sprinkled with maga tariffs are going to kill console gaming. Why would I EVER buy another console again when I can just spend a few hundred more for an upgradeable machine?

Alex is an incredible artist and teacher with a very strong yet approachable process. I even incorporated what I learned into an unannounced book that’s coming out later this year. If you have ever been interested in something like this, definitely check out her work and course.

I wanted to push for an updated pop star forward look. The first set is more of a naturalistic style that I wanted to absorb from Alex during the course, while these here are what I call my “kid lit” style that I’ve been honing for the last few years. The next set are some sketches from the process.

For the last couple months, I’ve been taking @beavs.bsky.social Schoolism course on Character and Costume Design. I really love Alex’s style and wanted to expand my skillset as I push myself back into a career. My character was Dazzler. I slapped a logo on one image because it looked like a cover.
