I ended up purchasing from the local guy and then also pick us some more online. Have to do the math to make sure you are getting the lowest premium possible.

I just started this month. I shopped around online and hit up local silver/coin shops. One shop was great at educating me and made some recommendations on books and internet research. The local shop had a higher premium ($3-6 over spot price) than the online stores I looked at.
