And resisting that takes effort. Sometimes it's very difficult. But we've gotta resist it, no matter what.

Honestly it feels like an actual spiritual battle. When you really start to notice it, there's so much pressure to stop thinking or feeling anything, to dissociate and wait for life to slip by until there's nothing left. It's like a very slow, boring form of suicide.

Probably what happened is the PG rating got a lot of parents to let their kids watch it, so now a bunch of 80s kids looik back and think the movie was *super* scary. That was the most overrated horror movie we've seen in our entire life. 1 and a HALF stars

If the story makes them step-siblings as a weak cop-out, then sure. That's a letdown. But if it just uses that as an interesting character dynamic, if it's written with all of the heartfelt sincerity that sets the the great stories apart from the mediocre, then don't belittle that. Embrace it.

If you have the vision to look at a binary star system and whisper "yuri" to yourself, then surely you can enjoy a good step-sibling romance. After all, in real life of course we consider them real siblings. You'd be an asshole if you tried to tell them they didn't actually count.

It's not about whether they're blood-related, it's about whether it has all the vulnerability and passion of a true incest story. As a brocon, I believe you have to approach it from the same mindset as yuri fans who can see even two blades of grass together and call it yuri.
