There is an ever increasing level of chaotic Mad Max "porcupine shed" protection on Russian assault vehicles. This appears to be effective against Ukrainian drones with RPG warheads. A drone-mounted Explosively Formed Penetrator warhead might be more effective at the increased standoff distance.

There’s a widespread misconception in Western society that repelling Russian provocations would lead to war. It’s a narrative fueled by Russian propaganda. In reality, the opposite is true: Russia will continue escalating its aggression and provocations until it is stopped.

If anyone is creeped out by the Russian talking point "If you help Ukraine then you'll just prolog their suffering", it's because that is rapist talk, e.g. "If you just stop fighting then it will be less painful for you". Of course, Russia is has no intention of letting Ukraine live after the rape.

Putin will not stop the war as long as he can recruit cannon fodder and believes that Ukraine will eventually collapse. To end the war, international troops need to be deployed in major Ukrainian cities as tripwire forces, to show Putin: "No, you will never conquer the entirety of Ukraine"

The goal of trade is not about selling stuff you have, it is about _getting_ stuff you _don't_ have. Over the last 80 years the US has built a system that allowed it to get all the best stuff from the world without much reciprocal effort.

Trump destroyed this system in 3 months.

If Trump is constantly making decisions that help Russia, then the US is Russia's ally

If Trump is making decisions that help Russia without benefitting the US, then the US is a client state

If Trump is constantly making decisions that help Russia and harm the US, then the US is a defeated victim

Once you realize Trump is working for Putin, everything he does makes perfect sense.

Donald Trump has a long history of exploiting positions of power, grifting all that he can, then declaring bankruptcy and letting others pay for his mistakes.
Anyone who thinks that the tariff nonsense is some kind of 4D chess will discover that this time _they_ will have to pay for his mistakes.

It bothers me to no end that people are still underestimating the evil that Russia is capable of. Putin is a Russian czar - this means it is incomprehensible how little a Russian life is worth to him. If he has to sacrifice a million Russians to get a piece of Lithuania, he will do it. Russians obey

Donald Trump corrupts everything he touches, and will ruthlessly exploit any leverage over others. This is a man who stole from his own children's charity organization. He has a long standing relationship with Putin.
Giving this man the power that he has now will result in misery for everybody else

Never forget that Donald Trump is a criminal, a bully, a liar, a rapist, a malignant narcissist, and has a long track record of being a criminal, a bully, a liar, a rapist, and a malignant narcissist. He revels in exploiting a position of power to extort benefits for himself, and has always done so.

When Russia starts struggling to maintain recruitment numbers for offensive operations, Putin has a decision to make:
1.) Dig in and attempt to freeze the territorial gains at the present positions
2.) Call for general mobilization in an effort to overwhelm and extinguish Ukraine's forces

Germans need a reminder: "Der Frieden ist der Ernstfall, in dem wir uns zu bewähren haben". Der Ernstfall is NOW. If you want peace, you need a believable deterrent.
Reintroduce conscription, stockpile ammo, counter Russian disinfo.

The US won't be the backup option anymore.

The oval office total shitshow yesterday should make one thing abundantly clear: NATO has lost the deterrent capability of its largest military member.

It's not just that Trump cannot be trusted.

It's that Trump will be cowering in fear "Please don't nuke me, Putin" when it gets to article 5.

2. Hopelessness
3. Books about murder and hopelessness

MAGA tactics will always be for the increase of poverty, hopelessness, and anger. Trump decisions made in the name of "efficiency" or "small government" will result in more people getting poorer, more desperate, more rabid. The end goal is a poor and brainwashed US population, just like Russia's.
February 22, 2025 at 8:17 PM
Trump's end goal is the replication of the Russian system in the US: A dictator with absolute power at the top, surrounded by oligarchs. The dictator allows the oligarchs to exist and steal their share of loot from the general population, in exchange for loyalty. The population is kept in poverty.
February 22, 2025 at 8:08 PM
Trump chose a side: Putin's. Trump will never make any geopolitical decisions against Russia's interests.

The MAGA slogan is a lie as well. A great America doesn't benefit Trump. His policies will make Americans more impoverished and desperate, and they will blame others for their misery.
February 21, 2025 at 5:57 AM
Trump isn't "misinformed". He didn't just simply lie. Trump deliberately regurgitated the whole range of Russian talking points as an act of fealty to Putin.

Correcting the lies is pointless, because truth isn't the point. The point is being in the "in" group with Putin, which requires the lies
