Fair. Though considering they’re in a rebuild and there have been signs of them cleaning house and opening some new opportunities with staff, I’m confident in their dedication to trying. I won’t pass judgment before seeing a finished product.

Possibly. We don’t know how those negotiations went. It also comes down to what teams are willing/able to pay and whether or not Shaw wanted to go to a particular team. Shaw requested the trade and Wave did what they could to accommodate, operating with player autonomy in mind from the start

Ah there was a ? in your post on that point. Guessing that was unintentional lol

So she wasn’t really responsible for our midfield woes. She didn’t sign Sav, or let Flint walk. She didn’t injure Shaw, Mel B, Ascanio or Colaprico.

iirc by the time the dust settles, it’ll
be over $500,0000 total for Jae. Well… Camille got there in June. The season was halfway done by then. Since she’s arrived we’ve gotten Cascarino and Morroni (players that have made a significant difference), kept Lundkvist, McNabb, Bealle. +Byars/McMahon

“That seems like not great business, especially for a GM that was forced out of another job less than a year ago” suggests otherwise.

Jae said the move is bittersweet. She’s ready for new growth and opportunities and as a fan, I’m excited for her. As a Wave fan, I’m excited for what’s to come.

No apology needed 😄 I’ve been going cross-eyed trying to keep track of all the moves, including with staff and coaches lol

Many analysts and those familiar with him say the league will fit his style well. Guess those of us willing to find out will just have to wait and see.

Yes, a midfield built before she got there. Not her “bad business” A loss of a pivotal midfielder (Flint) that was being underutilized… by the previous coach. Poor midfield, poor coaching choices, lack of finishing. There is never just one answer. Hopefully this rebuild changes all that.

She’s also responsible for assisting with building KC into the force it became. It’s in all the articles… Also a resignation isn’t being forced. She made that choice. She had good talent come in at KC, she’s trying to do the same for Wave. But if you wanna keep hating that’s on you.

Is it really outlandish that playoffs were missed when we had 3 coaches in a season, 2 of which were simply not cut out for the job? Also, none of those coaching choices had anything to do with the GM…?
January 14, 2025 at 8:36 PM
If he stated that recently, it’s incorrect. As of now, the avg age is 23.26. That’s not too crazy especially as they have stated that they are dedicated to building around young, promising talent which will be a change from previous years. We lost one (1) big star player to a trade.

And if you don’t mind, genuinely wondering where it says Ashton was forced out of her KC job when she resigned?
