Ireland ranks 27 of 31 in Europe on the ‘spillover index’ assessing the global ‘footprint’ for Irish imports. Performance on environmental, social & economic dimensions are poor. However, Ireland performs well for indictors reflecting multilateralism.

Ireland has major challenges for #SDG12 Responsible Consumption. SDG12 is challenges most consumer based economies in Global N, and is especially challenging to Ireland with most indicators stagnating or down trending regarding pollutants embodied in imports.

Ireland has challenges remaining to achieve #SDG11 Sustainable Cities and progress has stagnated. A significant challenge is the share of the population with leaking roofs, damp walls, floors or foundation, or rot in window frames/floor. Increased since 2018.

Ireland still has challenges remaining to achieving #SDG10 Reduced Inequalities although there is moderate progress. These indicators are based on Eurostat’s Gini coefficient and OECD’s Palma ratio which consider disposable income and its equitable distribution.

National #PISA scores have stagnated especially in mathematics. PISA is an internationally standardised assessment of 15-year-olds for reading, maths & science.
