As an aspiring picture book writer who has spent a fortune in conferences, assessments, pitch opportunities and more, this is exactly the thread I needed today! Thank you! It can be so discouraging to get so close but not quite over the line. Keeping writing is the key. 💕

Good point! Some are ghost written, and others are edited substantially. In any event, it’s the name on the cover that sells the books. Authors should be given more opportunities to share their talent, rather than jostling for shelf space next to a footy player or a soap star.
