4/4 Now, with these new AI systems, anyone can infiltrate digital communities and spew the same kinds of hate that have already led to devastating consequences. All with just a keyboard.

We need regulation for AI now if we want to preserve our digital environments and truth as we know it.

3/4 In countries with fragile democracies, AI poses an existential threat to the functioning and security of its society.

Picture this: Facebook already propelled a genocide in Myanmar by not censoring hate posted by real humans. Tens of thousands of Rohingya muslims are dead as a result.

2/4 In Mexico, over 80% of people are online. But most are functionally digitally illiterate. Most can’t spot AI-generated content and many won’t even try.

That makes the internet a dangerous place for truth, especially considering that it has moved to the center of how we get information.
