I guess it also hinges on how checkpointing would work but i'm under the impression that dungeon crawlers are for sickos and the lack of such being part of the appeal over a regular rpg

i'm totally unfamiliar with the specifics of the genre but i had a thought of one hard enforcing a habit of having an endurance/scouting party and a merc party but that feels like having training wheels, like how normal is it that people would intuit doing that vs just square hole grinding
