Sometimes I prefer that to the students who “take notes” by playing around on their laptops for the whole class. I have quite a few students who are engaged, participate in class, and don’t write down a single word. Sometimes they do better than their dictation-focused counterparts.

My move to BlueSky last week is beginning to feel like I jumped off a sinking ship right before it was completely submerged. We are gonna need more lifeboats.
