Can't agree more. Shootout is so irrelevant to the game. Hell, I'd take a full 20-minute OT period to avoid shootout.

Nick is definitely not 100%. The way Slaf plays on the second line shows we may have underestimated his importance on the first line. The second line is the best line tonight. And he's a good reason for that.

Being himself. I've seen him waiting for the puck at the red line not even coming back to defend in his own zone in Laval. It's a miracle he was in the crease. Don't ask for too much 😂

2 years ago, our defense looked like beheaded chicken running everywhere. There was an improvement, but we are nowhere near an elite defense structure, like Boston for instance. I don't like to point fingers. It's easy on social media. But I don't think defense is structured properly.

We knew Dobson was not top in his zone, but he's good to make a fist pass. He admitted that the system is complicated to understand. He often seems like he's searching for his position. That hybrid system is driving me crazy, and it drives the goalies crazy.

Dobson skates back and back instead of going forward on him. It was almost a break away. This team has no defense structure, I've been saying this for 3 years. And I'll die on this hill. No goalie can defend against this.
