Absolutely right that there needs to be plenty of friction if it's going to be legal. Any of us could gamble away our entire savings on our phone in an hour. I resent that every single commercial break featured an ad telling my kids to start gambling.

The Republican party, and its vast messaging machine, are what programmed that woman to think the way she did. McCain simply wasn't hateful enough to excite enough Republicans to vote for him in the general election, so he lost.

While CBS setlling with Trump was actually giving into the Mob.

What an evil, un-newsworthy story and framing. Shame on CNN.

Fact Check: FALSE. The ICE agents murdering and kidnapping your neighbors are not part of the U.S. armed forces. Harris's claim is a lie.

Also just quick. I would have been half way home and slapped the steering wheel and gone "damn, i should have said so do you."

Just listen to the recruitment ads and you know who they want. And they're getting them.

Great article. I'm in the middle of starting a business, so reading a bunch of business stuff. "Solve a problem" is the entrepreneurial mantra nowadays. What the hell kind of problems have these things solved? The connection you discussed at the end, just FOMO, or is the advice not applicable here?

This is so much like the people who ask how we can possibly make moral decisions outside the constraints of religion. They're really telling on themselves.

Not the most important point here, but "just below the 90 percent required..." is an odd way to describe 60 percent.

Metra's horrible with signage. And these new displays don't tell you which platform to go to even if you know what an ogilve is.

I think about this every time I hear some bonehead ask if I want government to run healthcare or other services like they do the dmv. I'd gladly renew my license once a month for the rest of my life if I never had to talk to Blue Cross or Comcast again.

Was at Joliet #handsoff today and like to think they would have been proud.

It was disgraceful. Disgraceful to sit passively while being insulted, lied to, and lied about.
