I didn't ask them to do anything. Please reread the post and do not put words in my mouth. What I am questioning is why is this considered resistance? That's how the OP framed it. I am totally sympathetic with their reasons for resigning. Please address the actual question or move on.

OK so they save their own butts, that's fine, but I'm not sure how this helps the existential situation. This isn't resistance, it's self preservation. Maybe justified, but still....

Trump had a 1st term to curtail it, but instead poured fuel on the fire by relocating the embassy. This is a shit show. No one is the good guy.
