While definitely not civilian and probably technically an “army medic,” I always liked the implication that Healers Hawks were helping distribute medicine across their planes

If the proposal from the Wizards article were to hold, Lorwyn:Eclipsed actually introduces another asterisk to the rule other than Deathrite Shaman and the Guildmages that the opposing side is citing.
I personally don’t think it’s worth the rules load. Just play with what u want lol

I love the companions and the Lorwyn avatars, but I agree. I just don’t think there’s a better rule that’s as clear, concise, and consistent to cover all these weirder edge cases

I had the same thought with some other card mechanics as well. I’d never tuck anyone’s yum for playing them, but I just don’t think there’s an alternative rule as clear, concise, or consistent across all these corner cases

It’s even a deeper discussion than that because Beseech the Queen was posited as potentially being legal in literally any deck

It’s obviously a different thing entirely, but I’m fascinated by these discussions and I respectfully try to ask anyone who is in favor of the change: What are your thoughts on a rule to make phyrexian mana functionally colorless identity? Or allowing a card like MOM Etali in Mono red decks?

I care about the Magic Universe more than I do the actual card game engine and this project proves that ANYTHING can conform around Magic’s world building. My biggest fear was some of these arts would just edit Spiderverse characters out. But Wizards went above and beyond my expectations

After attempting to play green decks in Standard for 60 min and not making it to turn 5, I have instead decided to queue into Brawl with my Vannifar deck only to turbo chain into Acidic Slime and clones to destroy lands.
I’m full on Joker arc, only WotC can stop me now
