haven't earnestly played #pinball in what feels like a year; too busy fixing them to play them lol

anyway, some mediocre scores on Black Rose, Stern StarTrek, and Bride of Pinbot

Working on the primary weapon leveling in that StarFox64 clone and it's been so long since I've gotten to model. So I wanted to treat myself and take a little bit of time while making these simple pew-pews.

Finished the custom chime unit for Voyager!

There's a handful of little improvements I'd like to make down the road to improve its rigidity and sound quality, but I'm happy with it so far.

It might also get bigger bars to bring down the sound an octave.

Upgraded the DC circuit in Voyager!

This new set up offers latching relays for the slingshots and jet-bumpers. So not only do they get the extra strength from the DC power, but also are guaranteed to fully actuate when hit by the ball.

Testing out Voyager's inner loop combo today!

Every successful combo will advance the end of ball bonus by 1 and 3 consecutive combos will light extra ball.

Ooomph, the art kit on the Stern Walking Dead rerelease is definitely a choice 🤔

Wrapped up Voyager's score reels this week by implementing its last major circuit; carry over!

'Working on a video detailing the circuit right now, 'should be up by Saturday.

New video on Voyager's point relays should be up tomorrow morning. In the meantime, I've been designing a custom chime unit for the machine!

The 3Dprinted parts are prototypes, the final unit will be all steel; which should greatly improve rigidity.

Installed a 5" bell in Voyager today!

It'll ring when a player earns 1,000,000 points!

Ran out of brown and grey wire today so I wasn't able to finish the last of Voyager's score reel logic.

That said, the point relays have been installed and the player score select relays are finally being incorporated!

Here's what the schematics look like for the reset circuit; each score reel has a copy of it.

The Score # Reset relay pulses the reel's solenoid. The # pt Zero Position switch opens when the reel is at zero, which blocks further pluses.

Voyager's score reels are now resetting!

Next up I'll be finishing off the score reel circuit by incorporating the player select relays and point relays.

Did some wiring on Voyager today!

The machine now remains in reset mode until all of the score reels are zeroed out.

The next part will be hooking up the score reset relays. Those will pulse the score reels; advancing them from whatever number they're on to zero.

Buying color coded wire has gotten difficult in recent months, so I've had to devise a method to make my own in house.

More progress with Voyager! Player Select relays, Score Reset relays, Credit Reel, and Score Reels have been installed!

I had to design and order some special 6 digit score reel mounts, 'cuz this will be a million point game.

Now to order some wire and start hooking things up!

Another Snoodle board update; now with analog inputs!

Just the two axis at the moment, but the code will be expanded to support eight.

It's been a sawdust kinda day.

Voyager's mech panel needed holes for the player 1 and 2 score reels as well as a funny shaped hole for the credit reel.

With the help of the 3D printer, I made some simple jigs for the router's trace bit.

Sorry I haven't posted about that StarFox project in a while. I wanted to give lasers to enemies and that ended up triggering a 2 month long project wide refactor lol

I can't express how happy I am to finally check this box

Felt like relaxing today with a Gameboy repair.

This fella was given to me years ago. It would boot, but couldn't read carts. Suspecting the edge connector, I found one of the pins heavily corroded.

So, I took some wire, bent it into shape, hardened it, and now it's playing again!
