I remember a time when almost the entire planet disliked and fiercely fought against Nazis and fascists…I would like us to go back to that standard, please…it’s not a high bar…
Would love to but that’s not likely…husband has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and though not in the last stages, it’s pretty bad…I don’t see him being able to travel…miss your wit and wisdom, lots!

will never forget the feelings of the entire country in those days and weeks to follow…a general feeling of sadness mixed with not feeling safe…I was changed that day…

I think we were told we could go home early if we were close enough to walk home…I could have, but stayed with those who had to either wait to be picked up by parents to take a bus home…some of my classmates cried, others seemed unaffected, some seemed to be almost catatonic…a sad, sad day…

A few minutes later, a TV was rolled into our room and our teacher explained that the president had been shot…the news was turned on and we watched until it was reported that JFK had died…

They were all “rah rah” over trump, very early on…changed their tune, but I never trusted them for backing him even for that short time…
