Made a page for IRL events I’ve been to and want to attend. I am also writing reviews/notes on the events, as a vendor and attendee. Such as the latest one I attended, the Scatterbrain screening! I am more likely to write more words on stuff I enjoyed, so everything for now is a good review LOL. One of the many other pages I’m working on is a commission page for pet portraits, with examples and pricing. The wiki format is useful for quickly typing up the words, not worrying about the styling. The last page I want to bring attention to is my exchanges page for gifts I’ve received and made. I want to figure out some method to blur out individual NSFW images with the HTML limitations of a wiki. But I’ve added most of the stuff I’ve done this year, will be adding more of the past later. It will help clean up the art page on my main site for more static projects!

Using my wiki as god did NOT intend it - to embed iframes of stuff I want to regularly edit on my phone. **Example:** My commissions page on my main site shows my commissions wiki page for status updates. It loads a LOT faster than Airtable or Cryptpad or trello lemme tell ya that! I can edit it anywhere I have internet, without an app. Might change my price list to be on my wiki too, I hate how slow Airtable loads! **Example 2:** The frontpage of my site shows the now page of my wiki for what I’m working on, and what live events I may do. * In the past I’ve embedded my manually written RSS feed as an iframe and enjoyed that - except for the “manually writing an RSS feed” part, which I find difficult on desktop and impossible on my phone. * Then I switched to embedding the RSS feed from this blog with javascript. Which is fine, cuz writing updates on this blog is easier than manually doing an RSS feed, but it loads slowly. I’m sure you’re NOT supposed to do this with wikis, and you’re NOT supposed to use iframes in 2025. But IDK whatever. No one has told me what is the proper way that is also easy. So I will continue to jury rig Hugelculture mounds with my online setup until they fall over in a hurricane.

With 90% of the tech work done by Kat, I now have a wiki. start [Wiki Scum] For my first trick, I am gathering Old Man Ukes from the community. There is a comment section on that page where you can zazz out about your favorite ukes. Please comment an old man uke you enjoy, and help me test my page. Very importantly, you can sort the ukes I have already gathered by age. Thank you for participating!

Added robots.txt to this site’s base directory. Was reminded by reading through cmdr-nova’s “how to build a website” tutorials. I think I know most of these basics, but it’s always good to read through these tutorials for me to see what I may have missed through my self-learning, as well as see if I can share these tutorials to help others. also made the pink of the “bright dark” theme … brighter! That should be high contrast enough to fufill accessibility standards .

Reformatted the front page. * Added big ol’ buttons that lead to the store, kofi, and commissions since that seems most pertinent. * RSS updates to this tumblr account are now visible via iframe. * Webrings are on the bottom. Added link to fairyring, a ssg for webrings. Reformatted documentation page to be much plainer and easier to read. I really want to recode everything to be cleaner :P But that’ll take up so much time. At the very least I need to refresh my commissions page to load faster with the pricing! Also add more art to my art page… Condense everything into my “work” or “projects” page…? Hmm very hard to condense menu items…
