Scoffing wild cherries on my dogwalk, couldn't be better!

Radiohead's Hail to the Thief married to Shakespeare's Hamlet at the RSC Stratford. Bloody marvellous in every aspect. What an experience.

First drawing out of the lettering for side 1 of the base layer of the Bampton Obelisk. Chisel to stone tomorrow!

Thank you Ann. We did still have Noodle but I maintain that two is the minimum acceptable number of dogs.

New apprentice joining us soon.

Said goodbye to Pudding today. Rapid decline overnight, a stroke I think. He wagged until the very end. The most wonderful dog. We are broken.

We've decided that we like these two billing and cooing pigeons so much that they're not for sale. You can see them and loads more at our show this weekend. Do come!

Exhibiting in Bampton, Oxfordshire with the wonderful @suesideartist.bsky.social

Gorgeous client photo - Dancing Otters has been in place in this Somerset garden for a couple of years now, and is looking gorgeous!

No, I refuse to be all randomly bubbly, I shall be one massive bubble of a naan

Sold - Preening Swan will remain on show at the Himalayan Garden near Ripon, but she's got a red dot. I'll be exhibiting in a couple of weeks at home with @suesideartist.bsky.social though - and we have many other artists in the village, all as part of Oxfordshire Art Weeks. Do come!

Looks wonderful, Ann, but the stunning garden helps!

Hot off the bench, its cousin, Autumn Leaves.

Would love to know where he was heading.

A reworked piece. This was twice the height and, predictably, fell over. New leaves, another hole and the added detail of gilding the voids has given it new life. What do you reckon? Will be on show at our coming exhibition - looking forward to seeing you!

This smaller version of a larger garden piece is in a gorgeous bit of Portland limestone. It'll be available to see, stroke and even buy (you'd better be quick!) at our exhibition in just three weeks (gulp). @suesideartist.bsky.social at my side as ever - she's producing beautiful work right now.

Sanding. Noodle the dusty dog and I look forward to welcoming you to our exhibition, really soon! @suesideartist.bsky.social also showing her wonderful work.

...The agave that my mum gave us as a tiny offshoot years ago, the pond gently trickling, rosemary quietly and subtly flowering, the heady scent of wisteria and the buzzing of dozens of bees. Bliss.
April 24, 2025 at 5:29 PM
Jane's amazing garden. It's mine too, but she does all the work. Wisteria is going crazy this year, that flowering columnar cherry on the right that Pudding ate as a pup but we gave another chance is stunning, and a well stocked (and well stacked) log store always pleases...

Sketching morris dancers' silhouettes. They'll feature on a forthcoming piece of public art in the centre of Bampton, commissioned by the parish council and funded through Section 106 art funding. Very excited for this stone to be delivered so that I can start!

Meanwhile, I'm off to see this bad boy today at @morethanadodo.bsky.social. I do have my reasons to visit specifically this dinosaur, which will soon hopefully become clear.

Baking with attentive labrador. Pudding may be ancient but he doesn't miss a trick.
April 11, 2025 at 9:24 AM
Today I had poached pheasants' eggs on avocado on toast for breakfast, and then a very nice bull calf let me scratch his head lots. I like an uncomplicated life but I also like new experiences.
April 7, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Temporary installation at Cokethorpe School. I'll be relocating this piece back home to Bampton for our artweeks exhibition. @suesideartist.bsky.social and I hope to see you then!
