The alt text box is not long enough to transcribe it, but it tells the story of a murder victim's dog repeatedly attacking a man named Maquer. When the king heard about this, he decided it counted as an accusation and arranged for a single-combat trial. Maquer used a lance, and the dog used its natural weapons. The dog prevailed and Maquer screamed that he would confess if they'd pull the dog off him. He was later hanged for his crime. This was said to conclusively prove the justice of trial by combat.
