Like, this isn't even me talking out of nostalgia for Kai or anything. Kai legitimately has better pacing & storytelling because it removes the majority of Z's filler that doesn't add or mean anything at the end of the day because it was specifically made to eat up time, not add anything of merit.

Yes, the filler that doesn't add anything of value, was only made because writers didn't have much to adapt from the manga, & also conflicts with not only Toriyama's canon, but also their own canon is DEFINITELY shit worth keeping in the series. My fucking god. It's so stupid.

to fix the overbearing amounts of DVNR that smeared the video into a watercolor-y mess, & redo the color correction to more closely match the Let It Be remaster because this movie that's objectively a worse product looks great while Get Back looks like shit more often than not.

I WILL say this, though, it's incredibly funny that this doc was shot on 16mm film, blown up to 35mm, & cropped to 16:9 for movie theaters, but the remaster is just left in its original 4:3 aspect ratio. I would love if they could uncrop the footage used for Get Back, re-remaster the footage...

Even in 1.5 to 2 hours, you could've put all of the important bits of what happened in the documentary & it would've been a better film for it. Why did it take 50 years & Peter Jackson watching the film reels to realize that? Jesus.

more of the footage retained that they shot from the Get Back documentary, it's very obvious that this movie's so devoid of actual substance. And WITH the context of the Get Back documentary, it just makes it even worse because there WAS a story to be told with the footage & audio.

Unless that means universal health care, I seriously doubt that's gonna happen.
