The purpose of bosses is literally to have responsibility so it’s really frustrating when they play the blame game – and in such a public forum too – instead of focusing on solutions. Like what are they paid that much for then.

Ugh I’m so sorry :( That’s on him for not making sure you were aligned. And also I’m really confused why he wouldn’t just have a 1-on-1 meeting if he wanted to express discontent. That feels kind of…. like a given?
