You should be aware that many hospitals in the US have things for low income families, if you do some research and talk to the hospital you might be able to get their bill zero’d or massively discounted

I don't want to bash everyone who is religious. I know religion means a lot to some people and I won't take that freedom away.

On the contrary, religious institutions repressiveness against queer rights is still felt broadly as justifications like "think of the kids" have been used historically.
