Heyo, I'm Scridori, a digital artist who quit because I felt I was mediocre & wanted to return after getting "good" without defining what that meant.

Recently watched Ouran Host Club and it was super fun. I loved the characters & I never thought I would actually enjoy a bunch of rich teens doing silly things xD
I was shocked to see there's no season 2 despite it's popularity.

I loved the movie. I had to rewatch scenes with an excuse to study the art xD
I got 3 areas to improve: expressions, poses & colors.
Starting with expressions. The style is new to me. Next time I will time my study so I don't focus on the details.

Here's something I worked on. It's super messy but I wanted to really push myself to focus on colors & have fun with crayon type of brushes :3
I don't have an artstyle even after years. It's liberating since I can paint however I want without forcing myself to do things a certain way.

Here's an artwork I worked on yesterday. I'm following a process where I don't sketch or do lineart & instead directly paint, blocking in shapes and following intuition. Mostly do everything in grayscale and then add colors. I find it really fun x3

I mostly draw anime characters but on some days I can't draw them. Either the proportions don't work right or something feels off about the anatomy. On such days I find drawing nature scenes /subjects much more relaxing
