Writer's block always seems to be my brain's weird way of telling me I have a scene or character wrong...remove them (put them elsewhere) and suddenly I can write again.
This would be great if it didn't take me upwards of three hours to reach that conclusion. 🫠

It's still so strange...life without Alice. I'll never again come home to her "ow"s or take a silly photo of her being a gremlin...and yet Google Photos keeps creating collages of her antics.

It's been difficult to get back into writing after the last couple of months, but I finally broke the creative slump yesterday. Roughly 5,000 words towards a couple of short stories—one fully drafted and a second started with an actual outline. So, small victories, yay! 🎉

Sorting through stories for Phantasmias 2, and I'm not sure if my style is really pure horror. Spooky fantasy? Whimsical dread?
I don't have this concern with the fantasy stories, but...I worry my horror stories aren't scary enough to be called horror! 😅 Any other #writers have this problem?

It was Alice's 20th birthday recently! It made me reflect on everything we've seen in the last 20 years. Not only personally but in the world...and it made me realize, whatever comes, we've survived so far and will strive to continue surviving. 💙
